Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the CDL Prep mobile app ("the App"), operated by MD Teknoloji ("we", "us"). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. What CDL Prep is

CDL Prep is a study and practice tool for people preparing for a U.S. Commercial Driver's License (CDL) knowledge exam. It provides practice questions, explanations, exam-style simulations, progress tracking, and optional translation of study content.

Important — please read. CDL Prep is an independent study aid. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA), any U.S. state Department of Motor Vehicles or licensing agency, or any official CDL testing provider. Our practice questions are based on publicly available CDL manuals and are provided for study only. They are not the official exam, may differ from the current questions used in your state, and using the App does not guarantee that you will pass. Always rely on your state's official CDL handbook and instructions from your licensing agency.

2. Eligibility

You must be old enough to form a binding contract and to pursue a CDL in your jurisdiction (generally at least 18 years old). By using the App you confirm that you meet these requirements.

3. License to use the App

We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for your own, non-commercial study. You may not:

copy, redistribute, resell, or publicly post the questions, explanations, or other content;
reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the App's source code or question bank;
use automated means to scrape or bulk-download content;
use the App in any unlawful way or to infringe others' rights.

4. CDL Pro subscription

What it is. CDL Prep offers an optional auto-renewable subscription ("CDL Pro") that unlocks premium features. Some features (such as a limited number of free translations) are available without a subscription.
Billing. Subscriptions are sold and billed through your Apple App Store or Google Play account. Price, billing period, and any free trial are shown at the point of purchase.
Auto-renewal. A subscription renews automatically for the same period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
Managing & cancelling. You can manage, cancel, or turn off auto-renewal anytime in your Apple ID or Google Play account settings. Uninstalling the App does not cancel a subscription.
Restoring. You can restore an active subscription on a new device using "Restore Purchases" in the App.
Refunds. Purchases are handled by Apple and Google, and refunds are governed by their policies. We are generally unable to issue refunds directly.
Free trials. If a free trial is offered, any unused portion is forfeited when you purchase a subscription, where applicable.

5. Translation feature

The App can translate study content into your preferred language using a third-party AI service (see our Privacy Policy). Automated translations are provided for convenience and may contain errors or omissions; the original English content remains authoritative for exam preparation.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to interfere with or disrupt the App or its servers, attempt to gain unauthorized access, or use the App in a way that could harm us or other users.

7. Intellectual property

The App and its content, design, and trademarks are owned by MD Teknoloji or its licensors and are protected by applicable laws. Except for the license granted in Section 3, no rights are transferred to you.

8. Third-party services

The App relies on third-party services (including Apple, Google, RevenueCat, and the providers listed in our Privacy Policy). Your use of those services may be subject to their own terms, and we are not responsible for them.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or that the App will be uninterrupted or error-free. You are responsible for your own exam preparation and results.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, MD Teknoloji will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from exam outcomes, reliance on the App's content, or inability to use the App. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for the App in the 12 months before the claim.

11. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these Terms or misuse the App. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (such as intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) will continue to apply.

12. Changes to the App and these Terms

We may update the App and these Terms from time to time. We will revise the "Last updated" date above, and your continued use of the App after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where mandatory consumer-protection laws of your country of residence provide otherwise. Nothing in these Terms limits any non-waivable rights you have as a consumer.
